AYC is a dynamic catechetical conference organized for all of the youth in the Archdiocese of Galveston-Houston! From Friday evening through Sunday afternoon, teens have the opportunity to celebrate their faith and learn more about what it means to be a Catholic teenager in today's world by worshipping together with thousands of teens from the Houston area. During the weekend, teens have the opportunity to hear Catholic speakers from around the country, dive deeper in workshops, enjoy live music, worship in the Mass with Cardinal DiNardo, and more! The conference takes place in Houston's Hilton Amercas hotel!
Parents are needed for chaperones. Safe Haven Training Required.
Next event will be announced in 2024. More information and registration will be made available at a later time.
Brave the Wilderness (High School) and Expedition (Middle School) is a week-long summer camp that is created and hosted by several parishes in and around the Bay Area Deanery at the beautiful Forest Glen campsite in Huntsville, TX! This camp is an opportunity for teens to experience their local Catholic community by spending a week of fun and prayer with their friends and peers from St. Luke and other surrounding parishes. Throughout Brave & Expedition, we dive fully into the camp experience, enjoying fishing, canoeing, ropes courses, and more! We also gather together each evening to experience the Sacraments, pray together, and worship. See more about Brave with our camp videos and pictures!
Due to this being a joined event with local parishes, there are limited spots available.

The Colorado retreats have been a big part of the youth program in the past. Starting in 1978 and pausing a few times including after 2007. In 2022, we have planned to bring it back to the youth of our parish. It is a high school aged retreat, from incoming freshmen to graduating seniors. It is a 7-day trip, leaving on a Saturday morning and returning on Saturday afternoon. The retreat takes place every 2 years.
During this week we look to build friendships through shared experiences, both through fun outdoors activities, which include hiking as well as through evening retreat reflections. It is a memorable experience that builds everlasting friendships.
