Recently, St. Luke has had an increase of student drivers using the church parking lot to practice their driving skills. We are so happy to see so many of our youth learning how to drive and their parents taking such an active part in their lives by being their teachers, however, we have had two close calls of people almost being hit and one student completely losing control of the vehicle and ending up in the park.
Our parking lot is small and frequently visited by walkers, small children and pets at all hours of the day. This makes for a dangerous situation. Although it is a great endeavor, we kindly ask for parents and our young drivers to find a bigger parking lot that does not have as much foot traffic.
May God bless our youth as they work towards this milestone in their lives and all the people who are walking with them on this journey.
