Altar Servers are boys and girls who have reached the age of 10 who assist the priest and deacon during Mass. They assist with lighting candles, carrying the books used at Mass, saying and singing the prayers of the Mass and most importantly, setting a good example for rest of the worshipping assembly by their active participation in the liturgy.
