Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion
Liturgy & Music   >   Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion

Extraordinary Ministers of the Eucharist (EMCH) are lay ministers who assist the regular ministers of the Eucharist (the ordained) distribute the bread and wine to the faithful at the Mass, as well as bring the Body of Christ to those in hospital or confined to home. Our diocese requires that all EMCHs be at least 18 years old of age and in good standing with the Church. The church also requires that EMCHs be trained in the basic theology of the Eucharist as well as the proper handling of the Body and Blood of Christ. If you have any questions about your eligibility for becoming an EMCH please contact the Liturgy Office or the pastor.

If you are interested in becoming an Extra-ordinary Minister of the Eucharist,
call the parish Liturgy Office at 281-481-6816, ext. 237.
