"Under the patronage of theBlessed Mother, the
Catholic Daughters of the Americas
are united by their faith
in Jesus Christ,
in their devotion to the church
and the Holy See."

The Catholic Daughters of the Americas Court Mother of Unity #2292 was chartered in June, 1987. We are a national organization of Catholic women whose motto is "Unity and Charity". The main goals are to raise funds to give to charities and scholarships, and to perform charitable works.
We donate $600 annually to the following eight (8) charitable organizations: Office of Vocations, Casa de Esperanza, HOPE Village, The Gabriel Project, San Jose Clinic, The Catholic Community of St. Luke the Evangelist, Downtown Homeless Project, and Independence Village (formerly HRA). In addition we make an annual donation to five (5) National Catholic Daughter projects of $100 each: The Disaster Relief Fund, The Holy Cross Family Ministries, Habitat for Humanity, The Smile Train, and SOAR – Support our Aging Religious.
The Court gives $5000 annually to graduating high school seniors from St. Luke’s and children or grandchildren of CDA members.
Some of our recent projects include: a parish wide “Support our Troops” campaign by which we received 700 pairs of socks and 1,300 wipes to ship to our troops for Mother’s Day; a “Lady Godiva” clothing exchange with all excess clothes and accessories being donated to SEAM (Southeast Areas Ministry); and Project Mary 9-day Novena. In addition Court members collect old eyeglasses, cancelled stamps, old greeting cards, and Campbell’s labels to mail to organizations that have fund raising recycling projects. To raise funds for our charity projects and the scholarships, the Court has events such as a Games Party/Luncheon, Bake Sales, Chili Supper, and Fiesta Dinner.
Court Mother of Unity #2292, meets the 2nd Tuesday of every month (except July and August) at
7:30 pm in the Social Hall. We have social with a light supper at 6:45 pm prior to each meeting. All Catholic women are invited to join us at one of our meetings as a visitor.
